What is a margin call?

A margin call occurs when the equity in your trading account falls below the required margin level to maintain your open positions. When this happens, you may be asked to deposit additional funds or close positions to restore the required margin.

Fortrade may notify you of a margin call via the trading platform, email, or other communication channels. If the margin call is not addressed, and your margin level reaches the stop-out threshold, Fortrade reserves the right to automatically close some or all of your open positions to prevent further losses.
